Gallery: Cateys

Since their inception in 1984, the Cateys have cast a spotlight on the industry's high flyers, strongest performers and hottest brands. Over quarter of a century, they have become a byword for quality, class and achievement, the awards that everybody wants to win. No wonder then that the industry refers to them as its Oscars Night. Why does winning a Catey mean so much? Because recipients are nominated, selected and rewarded by their industry peers. A Catey statue on a mantelpiece symbolises the catering industries collective desire to recognise efforts in supporting and developing the UK's hospitality scene. In 2008, the Caterer and Hotelkeeper Awards, or Cateys, came full circle. Twenty five years after the Waterside Inn at Bray won the Menu of the Year award at the inaugural Cateys awards, Michel and Albert Roux received the one-off Silver Catey to a standing ovation and rapturous applause.
Northfields were proud to be the linen sponsor for this most prestigious event. The silver anniversary was brought to life with the contrasting black and silver theme that set the tone for a spectacular evening.
